The Statistics and Mathematics Department at Giet Degree College focuses on providing a strong foundation in both theoretical and applied aspects of mathematics and statistics. The department is dedicated to fostering analytical and problem-solving skills, offering a range of courses that prepare students for careers in academia, industry, and research. Greetings! On behalf of the faculty members, Department of Computer Science of GIET Degree College, Rajamahendravaram. I welcome you all to the creative world of Computer Science. I believe the Computer Science discipline has been widely recognized as an essential source and technique for the advancements in all spheres of human endeavor now and in future. In GDC all the students get the opportunity to excel in their academic activities. Our department abides by the vision on which it is founded. The Future of Computer Science is promising, choosing a career in this field will open the doors to many job opportunities. Pupils will have a chance to choose their careers in this field as Web Developer, Cyber Security Analyst , Database Administrator, Software Developer, and many more. Our Department has produced hundreds of Computer Science graduates and has established a name for itself. They are adorning top spots in various MNCs. Program Outcomes

After completion of the program, a successful graduate will be able to:

Apply basic knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and probability to solve complex problems.

Identify, formulate, and analyze statistical problems using appropriate methods.
Design and develop solutions for statistical problems that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
Use modern statistical tools and software for data analysis and interpretation.
Develop skills to conduct experiments, analyze and interpret data, and synthesize information to provide valid conclusions.
Understand and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities in statistical practice.
Communicate statistical concepts and results effectively to both professional and lay audiences.

Program Specific Outcomes

Within a few years after the graduation, the graduates will be:

Apply principles of statistical inference to draw conclusions from data and make informed decisions.
Design experiments and surveys, and apply appropriate sampling techniques to collect and analyze data.
Implement statistical methods and techniques to solve real-world problems in various domains such as health, business, and engineering.
Use operational research techniques to optimize processes and improve decision-making in organizational settings.
Demonstrate proficiency in statistical software and tools for data analysis, including but not limited to R, Python, SAS, and SPSS.
